Fundraising Campaign Planning
Getting through your year-end campaign feels like crossing a finish line, until you realize you're already back at the starting block, with nothing built for the other eleven months.
I help nonprofits build a fundraising strategy that doesn't live or die by one event or one campaign a year.
Email response rates are stuck below 1%, only 19% of first-time donors give again, and development staff are burning out trying to make one event or one appeal carry an entire year's budget. That's not a lack of hustle. It's a lack of a system that runs all year and not just at the end of it.
This work isn't about running more campaigns or running them harder. It's about building one clear, cohesive plan so every appeal, every event, and every ask supports the next, instead of starting from scratch every time.
How It Works
I offer a phased system that is built to meet you wherever your organization is today. Pricing is tailored to your organization's size and needs, and we'll walk through it together once we've talked.
Audit
This is a focused, low-risk first step. I review your current fundraising activity, revenue sources, and donor trust signals, and hand you a clear picture of what's working, what's breaking donor trust, and 2–3 quick wins you can act on immediately.
Fundraising Plan
I help you and your team build a complete annual fundraising plan, plus the working tools to run it, including a calendar, budget, task delegation sheet, and KPI tracking, so it's a system you use, not a binder that sits on a shelf.
Fundraising Campaign
I offer hands-on design and execution for your specific campaigns, whether you are working on a giving day, a year-end push, or a capital ask. You can either choose a strategy and messaging framework your own team runs with, or a full build where we write every email, letter, and post, so your campaign speaks in one voice from launch to close.
Retainer
Once your plan and campaigns are in motion, I continue the partnership with a monthly touchpoint to keep things on track, or hands-on support keeping the calendar moving and communications going out, plus a quarterly report so you always know where you stand.
Every engagement starts with the Audit, so you always know exactly what you're getting into before committing to more.
What You'll Walk Away With
- A clear picture of where your current fundraising is under-performing, and why
- A complete annual plan that diversifies your revenue beyond one event or one campaign
- A ready-to-use calendar, budget, and tracking system your team can actually run
- Campaign messaging and copy that stay consistent across every channel, in your organization's own voice
- Ongoing support to keep the system running, with real KPIs tracked along the way, not vanity numbers
Who This Is For
You'll get the most from this work if:
- You don't have a dedicated development or fundraising staff role in-house
- You have an existing fundraising process, but it's informal, and you can't say what's actually working
- Your team is strong on the day-to-day work of the mission, but stretched thin when it comes to fundraising strategy
- You're relying heavily on one event or one campaign to carry your budget, and you know that's risky
Growing From Here
Once your fundraising system is solid, we can talk about the communications and donor engagement work that keeps it running smoothly all year: consistent messaging, content calendars, and donor-facing communications that build trust between campaigns. Ask about Donor Communications support once you're underway.
The best way to start is with a Fundraising Assessment & Audit: a focused, no-pressure first look at exactly where your organization's fundraising is working, and where it's quietly falling short.
